Homeowner’s Association Update

2022 fees are due by April 30th, and if payment is late, an 8% interest rate shall be calculated and compounded monthly on fees past due. ​

WRHA has become concerned with the rise in the number of members not paying their annual fee.  WRHA has the authority to collect this annual fee as outlined in the encumbrance on your title.  Payment of this fee is mandatory. 

 

WRHA has the authority to use legal means to collect on delinquent accounts.  These legal fees (which can be upwards of $400) are recouped from the homeowner as specified in the encumbrance.

 

In fairness to members who pay their fees in full and on time, WRHA will use all avenues available to collect all fees which are required to fulfill the association's mandate to manage, operate, and maintain all community assets.

WHERE DO YOUR FEES GO?

WRHA has the responsibility to maintain current assets, such as the timber bridges, wooden viewing deck, retaining walls, and the entranceway features. 

 

Monies collected go towards preserving these features as well as installing additional amenities which goes to further enhance the community.  Fees go towards turf maintenance, flower bed upkeep, and limited fence repairs. Your fees also go towards the administration and operations of the association.

 

Example - one of the wooden bridges over the stormwater management pond requires significant repairs of approximately $10,000.  WRHA must complete these repairs as outlined in our maintenance agreement with the City.

PARK DEVELOPMENT SURVEY RESULTS

Thank you to all members who submitted their completed survey.  Your feedback is greatly appreciated by WRHA and Hodgson Community League (HCL) and helps us to determine which projects and/or amenities to consider.

 

Some of your top priorities were: increased lighting on the walkway through the park; installation of bike racks; additional benches and picnic tables; and the installation of another shade structure/gazebo.

 

WRHA will work in conjunction with HCL to prioritize projects with the hopes of installing some additional amenities this season.
