2022 Casino Fundraiser
May 29 & 30 @ Starlight Casino, West Edmonton Mall
Hodgson Community League is selected once again for a casino fundraiser.
This 2-day fundraiser raises significant funds ($70,000 to $80,000) for your community league. This money funds the league for several years and initiatives such as the winter outdoor skating rink, free swims at the Terwillegar Rec Centre, free ski day at Snow Valley, the summer Green Shack park program, among other things.
You need not live in this neighbourhood to volunteer, so you can also ask a friend or family member to join you! NO EXPERIENCE is necessary. Everything you need to know will be demonstrated to you when you arrive. FREE SNACKS AND MEALS are also provided.

To sign up, just follow the instructions on the page. It only takes a few seconds to do.
Thank you for volunteering!
To give you an idea of the roles, we have brief descriptions below.
Chip runners - involve spurts of busy and periods of rest - bring a book or activity
Cashiers - located in the "cash cage" - being quicker with math helps as you are cashing in chips for the public. But no stress. It is easy to do.
GM & Banker - in the "cash cage" supervising the whole operation.
Count Room workers - Shortest shifts are the latest - 11 pm - 3:45 am - you sit in a back room counting cash. No contact with the public at all - just 6/8 others counting money in assembly-line fashion.
